The Sumter County Fair was amazing!
This is the first time that I can remember entering anything in a county fair. I never imagined so much work would be involved. Once again, my friends are the very best of friends ever!
Two days, long hours and borrowed decorations later and we were ready for the fair to open. The customers and fair goers were happy and fun folks, but the vendors were truly inspiring with their talents. Who would have ever imagined in our small hometown there was so much creative talent to go around. I had a chance to get reacquainted with an”old” friend of mine who owns Treadle Pushers Quilting and was amazed at the beauty and talent behind the quilts.
I also met some awesome new friends from Sweet & Unique. They have some of the prettiest and unique decorations for every occasion. Need something Unique, this is the place to shop. The Halloween witch wreaths with feet were coveted by most everyone. My best friend Genia was quick to purchase one since they were in such high demand. I have a feeling I will be frequenting this store often.
I must admit though, our SoapSense vendor booth was the best smelling booth of them all. Not too many people could just walk by without turning their heads and taking a second look. We received lots of compliments on our booth set-up and the packaging of our products, but we jokingly teased that it was the aroma of the awesome scents that swayed the judges into honoring us with a 1st place county fair ribbon. Either way, we were both proud and ecstatic. You can pretty much tell by the pictures we took.
I could go on and on about how awesome the Sumter County Fair was, but why? A picture is worth a thousand words.
